About the work

An envelope of waves and curves takes us on a journey through the imagination of Catalan popular culture, where the sky and the Mediterranean Sea intertwine. In this context, the egg, without religious connotations, symbolizes the fight for survival and perseverance. Water, as a source of life, drives us and sustains us, reminding us that as we immerse ourselves in it, we will find strength and vitality.

BIOGRAPHY

ENRIC PLANAS was born in Ripollet, Vallès Occidental. Linked to folklore and the performing arts since childhood, he studied interior design and later set design at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona. He has done work for theater, dance and musical shows, collaborating with La Veronal, Xavier Albertí, Àngel Llàcer, Sergi Belbel, Sílvia Munt, Gabriel Calderón, Pau Miró, Josep Maria Miró, Marilia Samper, Jordi Prat i Coll, Joel Joan, among others. In addition, he is a professor in the stage space department at the Institut del Teatre. Enric received the 2013 Butaca Award for best set design for The Archimedes Principle and the 2022 Butaca Award for best set design for Singing in the Rain.
